Ranger Challenge

The Ranger Challenge is an opportunity for schools to "compete" with each other completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave a Ranger Challenge with stronger bonds and sharper skills.

Pershing Rifles

The National Society of Pershing Rifles gives Army ROTC Cadets the opportunity to develop to the highest degree possible. Cadets can take part in precision trick rifle drill teams that provide them with the outstanding traits of leadership, military bearing and discipline.

Temple ROTC is More Than a Class….Its a Second Home

Throughout the semester, Cadets build strong bonds with their fellow ROTC classmates. During this time, there are often weekly get togethers where Cadets will play video games, make dinner, assisst with everyones homework and classes. Additionaly, Temple ROTC attempts to include some activites that are safe and enjoyable for Cadets.

Leaving home for college can be a big step and Temple ROTC attempts to make the transition very smooth and enjoyable.

Commissioning Ceremony

Each year senior cadets are commissioned into the United States Army as Second Lieutenants in a ceremony attended by families, friends, University Officials and other distinguished guests. The ceremony marks the transition from Cadet to Officer and is a significant milestone in the life of every cadet.

Physical Training

Physical training is part of a cadet's curriculum.  They not only participate but learn how to teach others in physical fitness training.  A strong mind and body is essential for success in the program.
