A Proud History-A Bright Future

The Truman State University ROTC Battalion has been proud to help develop the leaders of tomorrow.

Reserve Officers Training Corps at Truman State University

The United States Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) was established at Truman State University in 1969.  The Bulldog Battalion prepares young men and women for positions of leadership and management in the Armed Forces.  By participating in the ROTC program, a student may earn a minor in Military Science and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Unites States Army, Army Reserves, or the Army National Guard.

The Bulldog Battalion Headquarters are located on the north side of Baldwin Hall.  Baldwin Hall is located in the northwest corner of campus, just east of McClain Hall.

The Bulldog Battalion cadre consists of three Commissioned officers, two Non-commissioned officers, and two Department of Defense civilian employees.  At the start of each academic year, the Bulldog Battalion has approximately 150 student members.
