See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be
a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body,
but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.
These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and
fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also
participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their
strength and endurance.
In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.

Life in ROTC
Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets teaches principles of leadership; develops responsibility, honor, and integrity; builds pride and self confidence; instills physical stamina; and lays the foundation for intelligent and involved citizenship, culminating in the graduation of leaders possessing character and competence who are motivated for service to state and nation. The Aggie Warrior Battalion builds on the experience gained through the Corps of Cadets and provides the opportunity to instill the values and leadership to serve as an Officer in the United States Army.
Life in the Corps
Cadet commissioned and non-commissioned officers direct the daily Corps routine, under supervision of the Commandant of Cadets and his staff. The Corps lives together in cadet units, holds daily formations, marches to meals, conducts marching drills and physical training, and participates in other military-style activities.
A cadet's daily routine is anything but routine! The Corps provides its members with a wide array of opportunities and activities. Depending on your class year, you could fill your day with many different activities. Freshmen, better known as "fish," are the heartbeat of the Corps of Cadets. When not in class, Corps freshmen spend their days "learning the ways of the Corps" to better prepare themselves to be the leaders of tomorrow. Sophomores in the Corps are charged with using their previous years experience to make their freshmen class all that they can be. It is the Sophomore's job to be "the perfect cadet" in the eyes of every freshmen. Corps Juniors and Seniors must use their experience to lead the organization. Corps upperclassmen make up all of the staffs and command all outfits and special units.
