The University of California, Berkeley Army ROTC program fosters an organizational climate that attracts candidates that meet our "Scholar-Athlete-Leader" criteria for exciting, adventurous, realistic training and university-level instruction, resulting in Cadets completing the program and becoming commissioned Officers in the United States Army.

The origins of the Army ROTC program may be traced to the early 19th Century with a clear lineage of leadership excellence.
