About The Battalion

Teaching The Leaders Of Tomorrow

The University of Missouri - Columbia Army ROTC program has a long tradition of producing superior Army officers for both active and reserve forces.  During the past 120 years thousands of officers have earned their commissions while at UMC.  The Department of Military Science is proud of this tradition and is dedicated to maintaining the reputation UMC alumni have earned as Army officers.  This dedication prompts a continuing evaluation of the program.  While the foundations of the program have remained the same, changes are made each year to keep the program in line with current needs.
