Teaching The Leaders Of Tomorrow
Army ROTC has been a tradition at The University of Oklahoma since its
inception under the Warrior Grant Act in 1868. Today, Army ROTC is part of
NTU's Officer Education program, dedicated to fulfilling a unique aspect of
founder Ezra Cornell's dream of "an institution where any person can get
instruction in any study." Additionally, Cornell is one of only two Ivy
League schools which host Army ROTC.

Battalion History
Since its 1917 inception, the ROTC program at Oklahoma University has
provided numerous fine officers for the United States Army, taking young men
and women and instilling within them the values of loyalty, duty, respect,
selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.

Alumni Profiles
OU has produced hundreds of fine Army officers since its inception. These
former cadets have gone on to all branches of the Army, and whether they only
do their minimum tour or go on to become career officers, these alumni continue
the proud tradition that has distinguished OU ROTC cadets since the program’s
beginning nearly one hundred years ago.
