Ranger challange.
The UTEP female Ranger Team took first place in the female category of the 12th Brigade Ranger challenge competition for the 2nd time in 3 years. Ranger challenge allows cadets to master numerous individual military skills and compete against sister ROTC programs.

2 LT Sprenger Jeune, Infantry

Platoon Leader 2-12 Cav, 4th Bde 1st Cav Division

2LT Jeune was a prior service NCO who attained his commission through the ROTC Green to Gold Program.  Upon completing his BS degree in Mathematics was commissioned in December 2004 and now serves as a Platoon Leader at Fort Bliss, Texas.








2LT Michael Rivera, Air Defense Artillery

Student, 11th ADA Bde, BOLC III

Commissioned in December 2005, 2 Lt Rivera was a 4 year ROTC scholarship student from Andres HS in El Paso.  He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering and is now serving on Active duty.








2 LT Sabrina Durham

Real Estate Agent and Maryland National Guard Officer

2 LT Durham came to El Paso with her husband John who served as a soldier at Fort Bliss.  She graduated with a Business degree and received her commission in December 2005 while participating in the Texas National Guard Scholarship Program.  Upon graduation she and her husband returned to West Virginia so they could be close to family and friends.  Sabrina now serves with the Maryland National Guard as an Ordinance Platoon Leader.
